Coastside Community Church has a rich history, dating back several decades. Alma Heights Academy was founded by the Pillar of Fire in the 1950's as a boarding school, in a rural, unincorporated part of San Mateo, CA, known as Pedro Valley. As the school grew and the newly incorporated suburb of San Francisco was named Pacifica, school leaders began meeting together for church, which they then called Alma Heights Christian Fellowship.
Coastside Community Church invited Pastor David Leppard to become Lead Pastor in the summer of 2003. Shortly after, Pastor Troy Jacobson joined staff, as Associate Pastor of Worship Arts. The name Alma Heights Christian Fellowship was changed to Coastside Community Church later that year. Since then, Coastside has added administrative staff, which has helped us organize and grow. Each year new ministries are added, including seminars, small groups, missions efforts and community service outreaches.
Come and see how you can become part of our history!
